100% NATURAL AND CERTIFIED ORGANIC | HYPOALLERGENIC | COMPOSTABLE

Soapberries are a hypoallergenic and safe alternative to your chemically enhanced detergents and only cost 1/3 of your mainstream detergents. *High five*

All you have to do is drop 4 - 5 berries in your supplied Red House Organic cotton wash bag, put it in the wash together with your laundry and watch the berry (lame, I know…) work its magic naturally. It leaves your clothes soft and clean without using a fabric softener.

Tip: The berries are odourless, so we love to add a few drops of our essential oils to the wash to enhance scent and antibacterial qualities.

The smallest bag lasts 90+ washes, the medium bag lasts 180+ washes and the large bag lasts 365+ washes!

These genius berries can be used for soooo much more than washing clothes! Check out our blog post for more info and 5 natural home and laundry cleaning recipes to try ↠  How Soapberries Could Declutter Your Cleaning Cupboard for Good!

Aussie Family behind the brand

After receiving the diagnosis in 2002 that her husband had cancer, while she was also carrying their first child, founder Talia decided to change their lifestyle. To live a more sustainable, cleaner and healthier lifestyle, they chose to move to a quiet, cozy house in the hills.

Almost everything they used was either planted or raised in their area. She started to research a waste-free, organic laundry agent and came across soapberries. She launched Soapberries in Australia. They are from trees grown in the Himalayan Region and are natural antibacterial, anti-fungal and hypoallergenic.

Today, with her love for the environment and the passion for serving the humanity, she has partnered with Open Heart International, an Australian charity that does vital work in Nepal in the area of women's health - offering life-changing surgery for individuals with debilitating conditions.

The Soapberries from That Red House come in 250 gr and 500 gr and the Wool Dryer Balls are an extension of her passion for a sustainable and eco friendly laundry.

    So far so good!

Have been using for a few weeks now and really enjoying the concept of them. Using with a little of the grated soap/laundry bar, as I feel the berries alone are not 100% effective on kids clothes and nappies. Overall a really great product. Keen to try them with the laundry tonic in the future to add some scent to my washing.

    Saponins

Was finding an eco-friendly alternative to washing. This works well in cleaning our clothes. I think the only downside is can't effectively remove stains without the usual chemicals in detergents. Found that sodium bicarb added to stained laundry helps though .

    Not for me

I was excited to try the soapberries for my front loader after reading all the positive reviews. Followed the recommended instructions and added essential oils however feel this product is not for me. My clothes come out more stiff than usual and miss the luxury of the softness from liquid. I'm keen to find an alternative use for them as I value the ability to compost the husks after use and appreciate the low environmental impact this product has.
