Loofah Sponges SET OF 3 | MADE FROM PLANTS | PLASTIC FREE CLEANING SPONGE | COMPOSTABLE | VEGAN |

Are you looking for a plastic-free kitchen sponge?!

This Eco Friendly Cleaning Loofah is made from Luffa plant fibers, a fast growing vine in the cucumber family. Once the fruit is dried, a sponge-like structure remains which can be cut, ground, compressed and sewn into a cleaning sponge. This process means that the sponge is free from chemicals, plastic & glue, making it compostable at the end of life! How awesome is that?!

These compostable kitchen sponges can scrub various surfaces, including dishes, stovetops, pans & bathrooms, or even be used as an exfoliator on your body! These sponges become softer when they expand in the water but still hold their rigid shape, so they are best used as a scrubber! Think of it as a plastic-free scourer!

You can purchase them individually or as a set of 3.

Good for you & the planet:

  • Made from Luffa Plant Fibres
  • Home Compostable & biodegradable
  • Free from plastic, toxins & glue
  • Vegan
  • Multi-purpose & durable

Use & care:

  • They are firm when dry, soak under running water and watch your loofah expand and become soft and squishy.
  • Hang to dry between uses and place in the sun every couple of uses to sterilise.

For deep cleaning (at least once a week):

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil.
  2. Insert loofah.
  3. Boil loofah for several minutes to kill any bacteria.
  4. Remove loofah from boiling water (be careful!) and hang to dry.

Dimensions:

7cm x 11cm

Designed and Owned, with, in Australia. Ethically handmade in China

These are incredible! So easy to use, and it's so nice that we can pop them in the compost at the end of their lives!!

    Going zero

This is great! It just needs to get used to this. As I came from sponge and scrub daddy. But I know one breathes germs and the other one is not really good for the planet. But this loofah for the dishes? Who said it can’t be done! Its very thin but when soaked on water it gets softer. I like that it do cleans my dishes, and dries quicker too. I just really need to get to used with the size. Its bigger than the regular sponge, Ic an hang it from the faucet and not really worry. I have no problem that sharps will cut it as it is sturdy. Looking forward to going zero.

Good, but not what I was expecting

These are good, but I was looking for a more flexible sponge for my dishes. I guess it would be better for your body...They do the work with the dishes, but not what I was expecting, they are hard. Also, you need to add soap pretty regularly

    Go For Zero

Hey Paula, thanks so much for your feedback! In regards to the hardness, the best way to make them softer, is by applying hot water to them before using ☺️ I would love to hear how you go x

    Natural loofah sponges

Absorb water well, good for general kitchen cleaning & rinse well after use. The loop to hang them while drying is great (price is very reasonable too!) Always looking for effective ways to reduce my use of plastic & have found something I'll return to :)

No more nasties, only Australian goodness!
