Are you looking for a plastic-free kitchen scourer?!
This Eco-Friendly Cleaning Loofah is made from Luffa plant fibres, a fast-growing vine in the cucumber family. Once the fruit is dried, a sponge-like structure remains, which can be cut, ground, compressed and sewn into a cleaning sponge. This process means that the sponge is free from chemicals, plastic & glue, making it compostable at the end of life! How awesome is that?!
These compostable kitchen sponges can scrub various surfaces, including dishes, stovetops, pans & bathrooms, or even be used as an exfoliator on your body (if you like a really hard scrub)! These sponges become softer when they expand in the water but still hold their rigid shape, so they are best used as a scrubber. Think of it as a plastic-free scourer!

Use & care:
- They are firm when dry, soak under running water and watch your loofah expand and become soft and squishy.
- Hang to dry between uses and place in the sun every couple of uses to sterilise.
For deep cleaning (at least once a week):
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Insert loofah.
- Boil loofah for several minutes to kill any bacteria.
- Remove the loofah from boiling water (be careful!) and hang it to dry.

I am sad to say I don't use them. They are rock hard, tried to boil and soak them after but they don't become softer. So I used it a couple of times and left it to one side... =( don't like feel of it nor I think it's practical or efficient. Does not have a good grip. GFZ has other options which I think are better.

Loofah sponges are so much better than other sponges It might be little hard to use at the first time cuz little bit thick and hard but aftet using a couple of times It's perfect and can use longer than other sponges

I bought this by mistake thinking they were for the shower. I worked out quickly they were not due to their “kitchen” labelling I thought why not try in the shower anyway and still works well! I will use them in the kitchen and be more careful when ordering next time
