      Meet Sian Murray and Ami Bateman, the passionate co-founders of Pleasant State! These Sunshine Coast-based surfers and eco-enthusiasts are on a mission to revolutionise the way we clean our homes, one concentrate bar at a time.

      Ami's personal journey with chronic headaches led her to seek out healthier, plastic-free cleaning alternatives. When she couldn't find any effective solutions in Australia, she teamed up with Sian to create Pleasant State – a brand dedicated to providing sustainable, non-toxic, and high-performing cleaning products that bring joy to your cleaning routine.

      Since launching in 2020, Pleasant State has grown from a small operation in Ami's garage to a thriving business with a loyal customer base of over 20,000 homes. Through their commitment to people and the planet, Sian and Ami have prevented 150,000 plastic bottles from entering landfills, generated 75,000 litres of toxic-free cleaning solutions, and raised over $45,000 for environmental charities.       How to use

      1. For a quick clean: Simply spray the solution directly onto your produce, then rinse and dry.
      2. For a deeper clean: Add two tablespoons of the cleaning solution to a sink filled with cold water, soak your produce for one minute, then rinse and dry thoroughly

      Please note: the spray nozzles are not built to last a lifetime like the bottles and do only have a 6 month warranty period for replacement. 

      End of life

      When your Pleasant State Fruit & Vege Wash Kit reaches the end of its life, you can rest easy knowing that you've made a truly earth-friendly choice. The glass spray bottle is infinitely recyclable, while the durable silicone parts can be recycled through our Go For Zero recycling program or by scheduling a pickup with RecycleSmart, our recent partner in sustainability (learn more about our partnership here). And the best part? The wrappers are 100% home-compostable, so you can simply toss them in your compost bin and let nature take care of the rest!
