Why use natural perfumes? I know this might hurt a little, but I'll rip it off like a bandaid! 

Mainstream perfumes contain several toxic chemicals, but not just any chemicals… acetaldehyde and benzene, to name just two, are both identified as carcinogenic. Then, you have the chemical that makes the scent last longer: diethyl phthalate, a known active hormone disrupter that causes allergic reactions and dermatitis. That is just to name a few. 

What complicates things is that manufacturers are not required to disclose the ingredients used in the fragrances because they are classified as "intellectual property", so no one can copy their scents. 

I swapped to natural perfumes when I had my first mini-me, but I wished I had done it earlier, which turned me into a passionate natural perfume advocate.
