Aussie Family behind the brand

Hi I’m Ellie, the founder of Go for Zero.

I began my toxin-free and sustainable journey when my newborn (Gracie) developed rashes using ‘mainstream’ skincare products. Determined to help my daughter, I dedicated my time to research product labelling. I was horrified to discover how many harmful ingredients regular hygiene- and household items contained (and it is safe to say that I became a bit of a toxin-free nerd).

When I researched and tested toxin-free products, I saw a high amount of vendors still producing top quality products in plastic containers. This created a sore spot in my heart and fire in my belly to only provide products that are safe for you and our planet. Being an online store, we guarantee that your orders are packed with zero plastic and delivered through Sendle, who compensate the amount of carbon dioxide used when shipping by investing equally in restoring ecosystem projects.

From stinky garlic face masks, extremely ‘turmericy’ drinks & deodorant that stains clothes, I have gone above and beyond to make sure that I test and personally LOVE each product that Go for Zero sells.

Go For Zero is more than a store. We are a community of like-minded people that are not willing to compromise their health nor their planet. It is our mission is to educate and motivate people to make positive changes. Our team will continue to work hard each day to find options that are good for you and the planet. We understand that removing toxins and waste from your life is a journey that does not happen overnight, but we’re here to make it that little bit easier and enjoyable. Keep going, we’ve got this!

Thank you for your trust in us,

With love,

Ellie

How to use:

For nut milk:

  • Soak 1 cup of Almonds for 12 hours in water with ½ tsp salt
  • Drain soaking water and rinse almonds well. Do not re-use water
  • Combine soaked almonds with 4 cups of water and your choice of sweeteners (vanilla, cacao powder etc.) in a blender.
  • Blend for 2-3 minutes until smooth
  • Strain the mixture using the nut milk bag
  • Pour into a glass bottle or jar & store in the fridge for up to 4 days

For Juicing:

  • Blend your favourite fruit and veggies
  • Place leftover pulp in the bag and squeeze to avoid wasting juice

For sprouting:

  • Fill nut milk bag with preferred sprouts
  • Soak overnight
  • Hang to drain
  • Dip bag into water morning & night and hang to drain
  • Sprouting should commence within a number of days

Care Guide:

Gentle cold machine wash with naturallaundry soap & line dry only. Organic cotton material may shrink when exposed to heat.

End of life

Once your nut milk bag can no longer be reused or repurposed, pop it in your home compost or bury in your garden. The cardboard box it comes in can also be home composted, buried in your garden, or simply popped into your home recycling bin!
