Do you need to take the soap berries out for the rinse cycle?
Because the berries do not impart any residue on the fabrics, they can stay in the machine for the whole wash and rinse cycle. They work by breaking down the surface tension of the water, and allowing the dirt to lift out naturally, rather than using foaming chemical detergents that require rinsing.
If you have a machine that has the capacity to cut out the rinse cycle, you can do so because there is nothing left to rinse off. This can be a big benefit as you can cut down water and electricity usage significantly. Winning!
