In the midst of a global pandemic, founders of Pleasant State, Ami and Sian, put their heads and hearts together to create a sustainable solution for all. 

While households all over the world were making more of an effort to keep germs at bay, these passionate earth-lovers couldn’t wrap their heads around the idea that using toxins and plastics to clean could really be doing us any good. 

What started as an idea to fight against single-use plastic and toxic cleaning chemicals quickly flourished into a truly community-based business through the help of crowd funders, suppliers, and so many amazing people along the path to a cleaner, greener future. 

With so much undeniable support, Ami and Sian knew they were on track to produce a truly meaningful product that would help not only this generation but those to come. With such big dreams, the ladies put their morals and ethics forward and created an innovative cleaning product line with amazing results.

Meet Sian Murray and Ami Bateman, the passionate co-founders of Pleasant State! These Sunshine Coast-based surfers and eco-enthusiasts are on a mission to revolutionise the way we clean our homes, one concentrate bar at a time.

Ami's personal journey with chronic headaches led her to seek out healthier, plastic-free cleaning alternatives. When she couldn't find any effective solutions in Australia, she teamed up with Sian to create Pleasant State – a brand dedicated to providing sustainable, non-toxic, and high-performing cleaning products that bring joy to your cleaning routine.

Since launching in 2020, Pleasant State has grown from a small operation in Ami's garage to a thriving business with a loyal customer base of over 20,000 homes. Through their commitment to people and the planet, Sian and Ami have prevented 150,000 plastic bottles from entering landfills, generated 75,000 litres of toxic-free cleaning solutions, and raised over $45,000 for environmental charities. High-five ladies!
