Meet Brianne, the passionate founder of Ethique, who started her journey back in 2012 in her Christchurch home, mixing formulas in her kitchen and formulating the first-ever solid shampoo bar, Mintasy, as an alternative to the staggering 80 billion plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles that are thrown out globally each year.

Frustrated by the amount of waste created by the cosmetics industry, Brianne's deep passion for the environment and science drove her to learn cosmetic chemistry and formulate plastic-free, cruelty-free, and vegan products with ethically and fairly sourced ingredients, paying staff a living wage, donating 2% of sales, and remaining plastic-free.

Today, Ethique offers a range of skincare, home, and pet products, all with the goal of preventing plastic bottles from being made and disposed of in landfills around the world.

Wet your hair, bar, and hands, and gently slide the bar from root to tip 3-4 times. Once you’ve got the desired amount of product, place the bar out of direct water and use your hands to build up a lather. 

Rinse out completely. For best results follow with your favourite conditioner bar. 

To get the most out of your bar, store out of direct water and let drain completely between uses.
