Reimagine Cities

Coventry has collaborated with a leading energy company to reimagine the city's energy landscape:

1. Drones scanning heat loss

Thermal drones are taking to Coventry's skies, offering a bird's-eye view of the city's energy efficiency. By detecting heat loss in homes, these drones provide invaluable data, enabling targeted interventions that can significantly reduce energy consumption and lower household bills. It's like having a superhero with X-ray vision scanning the city for energy leaks!

2. Electrifying Transportation

Transportation is undergoing a green makeover. Coventry is on track to be the UK’s first all-electric bus city by the end of 2025, reducing emissions and providing residents with cleaner, quieter public transport options. Additionally, a widespread installation of electric vehicle chargers encourages more people to switch to electric cars, further driving down the city's carbon footprint.

3. Solar-Powered Schools & Community Projects

Coventry is making sure the whole community benefits from going green. They’re upgrading low-income homes, fittingsolar panels on schools, and even testing free battery installations—all to share the power of renewable energy with as many people as possible.

Recognising that today's students are tomorrow's leaders, Coventry is integrating renewable energy education into school curricula too. We're here for it!
