Keep your furry friend looking and feeling their best with the Eco Max Large Pet Brush, a natural, plastic-free grooming essential designed to gently remove loose fur, exfoliate dead skin cells, and promote a healthy, shiny coat.

Handcrafted using sustainable coconut fibre, natural timber, and cotton, this eco-friendly pet brush helps reduce moulting while stimulating the skin and distributing your pet's natural oils throughout their coat. The result? A cleaner, healthier, and shinier-looking fur coat without the need for plastic grooming tools.

Perfect for regular grooming sessions, the firm coconut fibre bristles effectively remove dirt, loose hair, and dry skin while remaining gentle on your pet's coat. Pair it with your favourite natural pet shampoo during bath time to create a rich lather and enjoy a deeper clean.

Unlike conventional plastic pet brushes, this brush is made from natural, biodegradable materials that can return to the earth at the end of their life, making it a low-waste choice for environmentally conscious pet owners.

Aussie Family behind the brand

Eco Max believes that the choices you make create the world you want to live in. When they create their products they follow the following principles:
  • Ethical manufacturing
  • Well designed, made to last & biodegradable at end of life
  • And most of all respect the planet

They believe that being an eco friendly business is so much more than the products they produce. For them, it’s looking at the entire lifecycle of their products, from the raw materials, to their disposal, they ensure their supply chain is ethical and transparent.

Materials
They use 100% plant based fibres in their brushes which means they can be composted at the end of their life. The timber they use is a mixture of waste material from the building industry to plantation timbers from FSC certified forests and rubber wood sourced from trees at the end of their rubber producing life.

Manufacturing
Each of their brushes are handmade by women in Sri Lanka, in return they provide sustainable employment, a living wage, flexibility and support to care for their children and a free in-house creche. We love this because the women have the power to be financially independent and directors of their own destiny!

Did you know…their first product was paper made from elephant poo?! From day 1 they’ve thought about how waste can be repurposed. We love that!

How to use

  1. Brush your pet in the direction of hair growth using gentle, even strokes.
  2. Start at the neck and work your way down the body, paying extra attention to areas prone to shedding.
  3. Use regularly to help remove loose fur, dirt, and dead skin cells while promoting a healthy, shiny coat.
  4. During bath time, pair with your favourite natural pet shampoo to create a rich lather and gently massage through the coat for a deeper clean.
  5. After grooming, remove any collected fur from the brush and allow it to dry completely before storing.

Care Instructions:

  • Remove loose fur after each use.
  • Rinse with water if needed and allow to air dry thoroughly.
  • Do not leave soaking in water for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally spray with a natural antiseptic and place in the sun to keep the brush fresh.
  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.

Tip: Regular brushing can help reduce moulting, distribute your pet's natural oils, and keep their coat looking healthy and shiny.

End of life

When your brush reaches the end of its life, the natural coconut fibre, timber, and cotton components can be placed in your home compost or green waste bin where accepted. The metal wire can be removed and recycled separately.

      Fantastic item

"Sturdy brush that can be used on my cats, my small terriers and my huge rotti. Soft enough to be pleasant to the animal but coarse enough to get the fur off.Brush is easy to clean after use.Worth the money. Happy customer here!"

      Very effective

"Although this brush is a little big for my little dog (chi x foxie) it worked well at gently scrubbing down to his skin. He wasn’t irritated or upset by the bustles, and I did notice he has less skin flakes after his bath. In addition to this, and a huge benefit of the brush is that it picked up and cleared out alot of his moulting hair - something we usually find difficult to keep up with (he is 17yo and doesn’t like to be brushed a lot.) An added bonus is that the hair was easy to remove from this brush. I used it in the bath (while bathing him) and when it got clogged up with hair I rinsed it under the running tap to clear it. I highly recommend this brush. I only wish it was available to me, at time of purchase, in a smaller size."
