    Eco Max believes that the choices you make create the world you want to live in. When they create their products they follow the following principles:

    They believe that being an eco friendly business is so much more than the products they produce. For them, it’s looking at the entire lifecycle of their products, from the raw materials, to their disposal, they ensure their supply chain is ethical and transparent.

    Materials
    They use 100% plant based fibres in their brushes which means they can be composted at the end of their life. The timber they use is a mixture of waste material from the building industry to plantation timbers from FSC certified forests and rubber wood sourced from trees at the end of their rubber producing life.

    Manufacturing
    Each of their brushes are handmade by women in Sri Lanka, in return they provide sustainable employment, a living wage, flexibility and support to care for their children and a free in-house creche. We love this because the women have the power to be financially independent and directors of their own destiny! 

    Did you know…their first product was paper made from elephant poo?! From day 1 they’ve thought about how waste can be repurposed. We love that!

    How to use

    • Apply your favourite natural toilet cleaner to the toilet bowl.
    • Use the brush to scrub around the bowl, under the rim, and into the S-bend.
    • Rinse the brush in clean toilet water after use.
    • Shake off excess water and place in a holder to dry.

    Care of your brush:  
    Rinse in toilet bowl and stand or hang to dry. Do not leave damp or in water for prolonged periods. 

    End of life

    This brush is 100% plastic-free and can be placed into your home compost bin where it will breakdown leaving a small piece of wire which can then be placed in your home recycling bin.

    Ineffective I eventually threw it out in disgust.

    "Firstly the bristles on this brush are simply not strong enough, it requires more elbow grease then should be necessary to be effective. Then you have to tap it numerous times against the toilet bowl to remove the excess water and even then there's always some left and the dye runs off the bristles so when you put it back in the container there's always residual water that drains into the container and turns a suspicious brown but its from the dye. Don't buy it, it looks good but it's rubbish."

    "I bought two of these toilet brushes before for my house which has two bathrooms and found them so good and efficient that I bought two for my brother who cleans toilets at his house and at his work, and he often complains about the one at work being hard to clean.
