RED CLAY | SUITABLE FOR DRY, MATURE & SENSITIVE SKIN| MADE FROM KONJAC PLANT | PLASTIC-FREE & TOXIN-FREE | VEGAN SKINCARE | HOME COMPOSTABLE | GENTLE EXFOLIATOR | NO PACKAGING

This Go For Zero Rectangle Body Konjac Sponge is infused with Red Clay to help with dry, mature and sensitive skin. The large rectangle shape allows you to gently exfoliate larger areas of your body.

Konjac Sponges are the perfect waste-free alternative to plastic loofahs when washing your face and body. Konjac is a porous root vegetable that is native to Asia. It is crushed and moulded into a slightly textured sponge that is gentle enough to use daily on your skin to remove dead skin cells, naturally stimulates blood flow, and provide a ‘polished’ feeling. They are perfect for absorbing excess oils and removing hard-to-reach bacteria and makeup.

Did we mention they are pH neutral?! Meaning they can help maintain the natural pH levels of your skin and protect it from bacteria and environmental elements.

Aussie Family behind the brand

Hi I’m Ellie, the founder of Go for Zero.

I began my toxin-free and sustainable journey when my newborn (Gracie) developed rashes using ‘mainstream’ skincare products. Determined to help my daughter, I dedicated my time to research product labelling. I was horrified to discover how many harmful ingredients regular hygiene- and household items contained (and it is safe to say that I became a bit of a toxin-free nerd).

When I researched and tested toxin-free products, I saw a high amount of vendors still producing top quality products in plastic containers. This created a sore spot in my heart and fire in my belly to only provide products that are safe for you and our planet. Being an online store, we guarantee that your orders are packed with zero plastic and delivered through shipping carriers  who compensate the amount of carbon dioxide used when shipping by investing equally in restoring ecosystem projects.

From stinky garlic face masks, extremely ‘turmericy’ drinks & deodorant that stains clothes, I have gone above and beyond to make sure that I test and personally LOVE each product that Go for Zero sells.

Go For Zero is more than a store. We are a community of like-minded people that are not willing to compromise their health nor their planet. It is our mission is to educate and motivate people to make positive changes. Our team will continue to work hard each day to find options that are good for you and the planet. We understand that removing toxins and waste from your life is a journey that does not happen overnight, but we’re here to make it that little bit easier and enjoyable. Keep going, we’ve got this!

Thank you for your trust in us,

With love,

Ellie

How to use

Fully soak the sponge in warm water for 1–3 minutes before use until it becomes soft and jelly-like throughout. Never use the sponge while it’s still firm or dry in the centre.

After use, gently squeeze out excess water, do not wring, twist, or pull. Store hanging or on a dish where air can circulate, but avoid very dry, hot, or heated areas.

Avoid using with harsh cleansers or exfoliating products.

Konjac sponges are made from 100% natural plant fibre and typically last 4–8 weeks depending on frequency of use.

End of life

Once your konjac sponge has reached its end of life, simply pop it in your home compost or bury it in your garden!

      Wonderful product indeed

"First time using a konjac sponge and will be purchasing more. It’s a gentle exfoliation and foams up soap well meaning I don’t have to use so much soap when compared to not using the sponge. A great plastic free alternative."

      Super 👌

"Very happy with this purchase and a great size 😀"

      Clare C. (5/5)

      great sponge

"this sponge is lovely to use all over, recon i would even purchase a bigger one if it was available!"

      Wilhelmina P. (5/5)

      Toxic free

"Love these sponges, soft on the skin, great for oil based cleaners, holds the oils for a whole body wash without using excess product. ."

      Michele O. (5/5)

      Very flimsy

"Unfortunately I didn't like this sponge, very flimsy and didn't hold much body wash so as to make it soapy to wash yourself. I was very disappointed as I am always looking for more natural and environmentally friendly products."

      Rachael P. (1/5)

      Soft and Almost Jellylike

"The konjac sponge is unexpected in its softness. It starts brittle hard in its dry state and goes to a lovely, almost weightless, softness when completely wet. It does just fit into the palm of my hand. I would like it to be a little larger if possible. I removed the thin hanging thread as I found it got in the way."

      Red Clay Rectangular Konjac Sponge

"Konjac sponges are beautiful to use - so soft on the skin. Much nicer than face washers which get rough with constant use."

      Catherine R. (5/5)

Started falling apart after two weeks

"This is a lovely feeling sponge and gentle on sensitive skin. It's also a good size. Unfortunately, despite careful handling and storage, it started to rip across the middle after only two weeks. Now pieces of it are falling off after only four weeks. I haven't tried the charcoal one yet. So unfortunately it's been poor value compared to my previous brand which lasted five months for the same price but was out of stock."

      Sponge

"Easy to order came very quickly"

      Denise F. (4/5)

Lasts a long time, but too soft for me

"The product lasts a long time, didn't get smelly. When wet it is very soft though making it hard to clean your body with. Would be great for very sensitive skins though I'd imagine."
