The Bearded Chaps Australian Matte Clay is a hair styling clay that is designed for any hair type and is used to create a voluminous and textured look with a matte finish and firm hold. It combines three Australian clays with a masculine chocolate fudge brownie scent. Um, yum!!

The formulation of this matte clay allows it to wash off your hands as easy as a water based pomade for mess free styling!

The main difference between the Bearded Chaps Australian Matte Clay and Traditional Pomade is that the Matte Clay provides a matte finish and firm hold whereas the Pomade provides a semi-sheen finish and medium/flexible hold. They also have different scents & texture.

Naturally good for you:

  • Grapeseed oil & Argan Oil provides shine and protects from frizz, split ends and dry, brittle hair
  • Kaolin Clay absorbs moisture and neutralises bad odour
  • Beeswax moisturises and settles hair, whilst protecting it from damage caused by external elements such as dust and heat
  • Horsetail herbal extract contains an essential mineral for hair growth and strength
  • Manuka Honey boosts hair growth, hydrates & locks in moisture, fights off dandruff and provides volume & shine to hair

The Matte Clay has a hard texture because it is highly concentrated with quality ingredients instead of being diluted with water.

To apply you’ll need to take 1-2 scoops with your thumbnail and massage into your hands to heat and make softer. Distribute it evenly through damp/dry hair. If you aren’t applying it after a shower when your hair is slightly damp then quickly run your hands under the tap and through your hair beforehand. Repeat if necessary and style as desired.

Aussie Family behind the brand

Founder and CEO, Luke Swenson, was working as an executive in the alcohol industry, but the one thing that he missed the most was his beard. Not an easy feat, he created the Bearded Chap for gents so men don’t have to shave off that patiently, well-grown, stubble, beard or even moustache because it is getting itchy and dirty. His Beard Balms, Beard soaps, Beard Washes, and Military Spec deodorants are handcrafted out of 100% natural ingredients and tested on real men, not animals.

Luke wants to change the world’s perception of beards by “making bloody good products, for bloody good beards that set the standards and educate gentlemen all around the world on beard care”.

Lukes men products:

  • Beard Oil
  • Beard Soap - Brawny, Rugged & Staunch
  • Deodorant - Spice & Lemon Myrtle
  • Original Beard wash - Rugged
  • Traditional Pomade
  • Australian Matte Clay
  • Essential Duo Beard Kit

    Love this!

I bought this for my partner for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! Holds really well in his hair and it does not make your hair look greasy! He has dark brown hair, not sure if this is a factor in the performance!
