    Hi I’m Ellie, the founder of Go for Zero.

    I began my toxin-free and sustainable journey when my newborn (Gracie) developed rashes using ‘mainstream’ skincare products. Determined to help my daughter, I dedicated my time to research product labelling. I was horrified to discover how many harmful ingredients regular hygiene- and household items contained (and it is safe to say that I became a bit of a toxin-free nerd).

    When I researched and tested toxin-free products, I saw a high amount of vendors still producing top quality products in plastic containers. This created a sore spot in my heart and fire in my belly to only provide products that are safe for you and our planet. Being an online store, we guarantee that your orders are packed with zero plastic and delivered through shipping carriers  who compensate the amount of carbon dioxide used when shipping by investing equally in restoring ecosystem projects.

    How to use

    Take floss and wrap around the middle fingers. Use your thumb to gently slide the floss between your teeth to just below the gum line.

    Candelilla wax can be a bit thicker than the conventional floss, we suggest to gently roll the floss between your fingers first, which helps to warm and soften the wax coating, making it more flexible. 

    Use a gentle side-to-side motion rather than pushing straight down, as this can help the floss work its way between tighter spaces.

        "i really want to like this product but it’s not working for me. the floss is too thick and just thicker in comparison to other floss i’ve used. it gets stuck between my teeth making it very difficult to use. as it gets stuck, the tension is too much on my teeth but also the floss breaks easily and get stuck. i hope they change the make of this so it’s thinner."

        "Unfortunately I couldn’t get my usual floss from another seller as they have stopped stocking it which is a shame as it was a great affordable eco friendly option. I purchase a lot of different things from go for zero so was happy to see that now I can purchase floss from here so thankyou, my only negative is the price, even though the refills are a two pack it still is more expensive then what I was previously paying"

        Could be thinner?

        "Buying my refills now, thought i better make a review! This is a good environmentally friendly alternative however, I am not AS satisfied with using it as I am with the one I used to purchase from the supermarket. . . . . . . let me explain: The issue i run into is that the gap between my front bottom teeth is tighter. What has happened is that it gets stuck (and on a couple of occasions I struggled to get it out, and even ripped the floss, I had to use tweezers to finally remove). I kind of get the hang of the angle i have to use it on now, however sometimes the floss will fray on these two particular tooth gaps. It's been a bit of a learning curve with i had never had an issue with any floss product in the past. Anyway, I am repurchasing the product as it's the closest thing i can find that aligns with my values."

        Natural Peppermint Floss

        "This floss is a great alternative to plastic options. As a person with very small gaps between some teeth, I did find this difficult in some areas. If there was a thinner floss available (if this is possible ), then I would prefer as I am still using the old floss (for the small areas) while I am changing over to full plastic free. I am sure this is not a problem for most - this is very specific to my teeth. The cannister is an excellent size to travel with, solid and robust."
