Made from  cotton and plant-based cellulose, these super-absorbent cloths are a reusable alternative to disposable paper towel. They're perfect for  washing dishes, wiping benchtops, cleaning sinks, tackling spills, bathrooms and other household surfaces.

Small but mighty, each cloth can hold up to  20 times its weight in liquid and can be machine washed and reused again and again. With proper care, each dishcloth can last  6+ months and replace up to  17 rolls of disposable paper towel.

Aussie Family behind the brand

RetroKitchen is an Australian-owned family business bringing a little colour, fun and sustainability into everyday life! Their range is all about making practical swaps feel anything but boring, with thoughtfully designed kitchen and home essentials that help replace everyday disposable items.

Best known for their colourful compostable sponge cloths, RetroKitchen combines quirky designs with functionality, creating products you'll actually love using around the home. Their sponge cloths are made from cotton and cellulose, are machine washable and can head to your home compost or worm farm once they're worn out.

Proudly Australian owned, the RetroKitchen range is packed and shipped by the team from Sydney. We love their approach to making sustainable choices practical, useful and a whole lot more fun!

How to use

Wet cloth and use the same way you would use single-use paper towel and other dish cloths. After use, place in your dishwasher on top shelf or washing machine and re-use!

End of life

When your dishcloth has cleaned its last dish, simply add it to your home compost or worm farm. It will biodegrade naturally, leaving no trace behind. Now that's a clean conscience!

"Great brand and you get so many months out of them. Easy to wash in the washing machine, and after 4 - 6 months they can be put in your green bin (or chopped up small for your home compost / worm farm). Pictured with a new one and one in use."

      Obsessed

"I'm obsessed with these cloths - would never use anything else. They last for so long too."

      — Lauren (5/5)

      Will buy again

"Like this brand and have bought other dishcloths from them in the past. 6 months is about the life span for them before they feel a bit slimy even after being washed in the washing machine. I then chop them up into small pieces and add to my Subpod (worm farm)."

      — Anna K. (5/5)

      Love every colour!

"These are great and last SO long. I rotate them out of the kitchen and into the bathroom when they have seen better days and then onto the laundry after that. They just keep going and going!"

      — N H. (5/5)
