    Sparkle without the conventional plastic!  Eco Art & Crafts Eco Bioglitter is made using genuine  Bioglitter® by Sigmund Lindner (SiLi), an innovative plant-based alternative to traditional plastic glitter.

    Unlike conventional glitter, which is typically made with PET plastic and can contribute to long-term microplastic pollution,  Bioglitter® uses plant-derived cellulose in place of the traditional plastic core. The result? Beautiful sparkle that's been thoughtfully selected with the planet in mind.

    Perfect for  arts and crafts, painting, potion play, slime, playdough and sensory activities, these beautiful nature-inspired colours encourage little imaginations to run wild through colour, creativity and open-ended play.

    What makes Bioglitter® different?

    Not all glitter labelled eco, biodegradable or compostable is created the same way. Some alternatives are made using  PLA (polylactic acid) which, although plant-derived, typically requires industrial composting conditions to break down effectively.

    Genuine  Bioglitter® takes a different approach. Developed by  Sigmund Lindner (SiLi), its technology uses plant-derived cellulose and has been independently tested under internationally recognised  OECD biodegradability standards and assessed by organisations including  TÜV Austria and SGS,

    Eco Art & Crafts has carefully selected colours from across the Bioglitter® range, prioritising options that meet leading environmental standards, including  plastic-free and vegan options within the collection. The range they have chosen also achieved  TÜV Austria OK biodegradable WATER certification, verifying their ability to biodegrade in natural freshwater environments through the action of microorganisms.

    Aussie Family behind the brand

    Eco Art & Craft was born in an off-grid, solar-powered forest home in the Northern Rivers. As a small family business, they handcraft natural, earth-made art supplies from vegetables, roots, flowers, and seeds, safe for little hands and gentle on the planet.

    Their journey began when they stepped away from careers in business, construction, and natural health to create a slower, more intentional life. After becoming parents and choosing to homeschool, they felt called to live more simply, closely connected to nature and creativity.

    In 2022, the passing of their son reshaped their path. Art became a place of healing, expression, and reconnection, and Eco Art & Craft grew from this space, blending their values, lifestyle, and love for sustainable creativity.

    Today, they craft every product slowly and thoughtfully in small batches, ensuring they support joyful play, calm exploration, and sensory-rich learning. With over 5,000 families using their eco-friendly art supplies, they are honoured to be part of homes, classrooms, and healing spaces across Australia.

    How to use

    Sprinkle a little Eco Bioglitter onto paintings, crafts, playdough, slime or sensory creations for an extra touch of sparkle! Mix it into potion play or other creative activities and let little imaginations run wild.

    A little goes a long way, so start with a small sprinkle and add more as needed.

    Recommended for ages 3+ with adult supervision. Not intended for consumption. Avoid contact with eyes and inhalation of loose glitter. Store in a cool, dry place with the lid securely closed.

    End of life

    Unlike conventional PET plastic glitter, genuine Bioglitter® uses plant-derived cellulose in place of the traditional plastic core and has been independently tested for biodegradability. This Bioglitter® range is also certified to biodegrade in natural freshwater environments.

    Once the glitter is gone, reuse the glass jar for crafts, treasures or storage, or recycle the clean glass jar according to your local council guidelines. The cotton drawstring bag can be reused again and again.
