Meet Sara, the environmental scientist, dog mum, and nature-lover behind Kelpy Bone. Living in a little bus in rural Australia with her pups, Cisco and Lenny, Sara saw first-hand just how far plastic pollution reaches, from bush tracks to beaches… even turning up in her own backyard and, shockingly, passing through her dogs.

Instead of waiting for big companies to step up, she decided to take action herself. With her background in environmental science and a passion for protecting the planet, Sara set out to reinvent dog toys, creating safe, plant-based alternatives that are as kind to pets as they are to the Earth.

That mission became Kelpy Bone: a plastic-free, home-compostable chew made from natural seaweed materials that gives dogs healthier play and gives the planet a breather. Because to Sara, our furry friends deserve better than toxic plastic, and so does the world they play in.

Our bones are a natural product, so as your dog chews, little soft pieces will come off and it will break down. Don’t worry! This is completely natural, just collect them and toss them in your backyard for a little fertiliser.
