Do you need to take the soap berries out for the rinse cycle?
Because the berries do not impart any residue on the fabrics, they can stay in the machine for the whole wash and rinse cycle. They work by breaking down the surface tension of the water and allowing the dirt to lift out naturally, rather than using foaming chemical detergents that require rinsing.
If you have a machine that has the capacity to cut out the rinse cycle, you can do so because there is nothing left to rinse off. This can be a big benefit as you can significantly reduce water and electricity usage. Winning!

I have used it in 3 different washing loads. It is as good as any other GFZ store options, like the multipurpose bar or the laundry sheets. A plus for this one is the fact that it does not have any scent - so I can use the essential oil I feel like - and you don't have to worry about grating it, like the soap. Downsides would be keeping track of how many times you've used it

I used these in 3 different washing loads and I have no complaints. Love the fact that it doesn't have any smell - I add the essential oils I want - and that it doesn't leave any residue layer like store bought products. Between this and GFZ other options, I think it's purely a matter of practicality. Like these as much as the multiuse soap bar or the laundry sheets.
