The weather is getting cooler, and there's nothing quite like a warm, spiced drink to hit the spot. Today, we're ditching the coffee shop line and making a delicious homemade chai latte. It's easier than you think, and you can customise it to your taste!

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml milk (dairy or dairy-free)
  • Indian Chai loose-leaf tea
    • If you want to make your own blend: mix 2 teaspoons of black tea (optional), 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon ground ginger, ¼ teaspoon ground cloves,  teaspoon ground cardamom, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Optional: sweener of your choice like maple syrup, sugar or honey

Instructions:

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Let it simmer gently, but don't let it boil over.
  2. Add your tea strainer with loose leaf tea or separate spices to the hot milk and steep for 4-5 minutes. Then remove.
  3. Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
  4. If you want to impress, froth some milk on top and sprinkle some extra cinnamon on top for a cozy touch!

Tips:

  • Don't like black tea? You can skip the black tea bags altogether and use the spices.

Enjoy your homemade chai latte! It's the perfect way to relax and unwind on a chilly day.

Lots of love,
