Every year, so many of you tell us the Limited Edition Summer Essentials Box is the thing you look forward to as the weather warms up, and that means the world to us!
So we’re bringing it back, filled with Aussie brands we love and the summer staples we use every single day. Whether you’re chasing waves, pitching a tent or just soaking up the sunshine in the backyard, this box is here to make your summer little more waste-free and a lot more fun.
50% off Limited Edition Summer Essentials Box
"We love these packs. They make it awesome to try new products AND they make amazing gifts."
- Emma S.
"Beautiful box of little goodies, love discovering new things and even some becoming favourites"
- Rachael R.
The Summer Essentials Box is a bundle of everyday summer products, the kind of things you'd normally grab at the supermarket or chemist before a holiday, swapped for versions made with naturally derived ingredients and without the unnecessary plastic packaging.
Why does it work? Because none of these swaps ask you to change how you live. You still wash, you still wear sunscreen, you still do the dishes at the campsite. What changes is what the product is made from and what's left once it's used up. A soap bar instead of a plastic bottle of body wash. A plant-based sponge instead of a plastic loofah. Dish wash that arrives as a powder in a compostable sachet, so you're not shipping and storing what is mostly water in a plastic bottle.
It's for anyone heading into summer who'd like to try more sustainable swaps without buying eight products one by one to see what sticks. If you're just starting out, it's a gentle way in. If you've been doing this for years, it's a fun way to meet a few new sustainable Aussie brands.
Here's everything in the box, and why each one earned its spot!
If there's one thing I'd never skip in an Aussie summer, it's sun protection. SunButter's Tinted Reef-Safe Surf Zinc SPF 50 is an SPF 50 zinc made with non-nano zinc oxide, coconut oil and shea butter, and it comes in a reusable metal tin instead of a plastic tube.
New to zinc? Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter. It sits on top of your skin and helps block UV before it reaches you. SunButter is water resistant for up to 4 hours, but its still important to remember to reapply every 2 hours, plus after swimming or towelling off, and pair it with a hat, shade and sunnies. Sunscreen is one layer of protection, not a suit of armour.
It's also reef-safe because it uses zinc as its UV filter, not chemical filters like oxybenzone, which research has linked to harm in corals.
You get to choose your favourite natural deodorant from the Viva La Body range including Patchouli Rose, Lavender Fresh or Sensitive. They're all-natural, magnesium-enriched, glide on easily and made without bi-carb (perfect for sensitive skin).
If you've only ever used supermarket antiperspirant, this part's worth knowing. Sweat itself doesn't really smell. The smell comes from the bacteria under your arms that breaks sweat down. Antiperspirants use aluminium salts to temporarily plug your pores, while natural deodorants focus on the odour instead. So with a natural deodorant you'll still sweat (that's your body doing its job), but you shouldn't smell like it.
It wouldn't be a summer box if it didn't include a little something for those long evenings outdoors, and the Viva La Body Bush Balm is it. This natural outdoor balm is made with citronella, neem and lemon eucalyptus oils, plant oils traditionally used to help keep bugs at bay, all blended into a rich cocoa butter and shea butter base that leaves your skin feeling soft, not sticky.
It’s free from synthetic fragrance, parabens, sulphates, silicones and palm oil, it’s vegan, and it comes in a plastic-free, home-compostable push-up tube that won’t leak in your bag (winning!). Just glide it on before you head off to the campsite, the backyard barbie or an arvo bush walk, and top up throughout the day, especially after a swim.

Pop our Go For Zero Activated Charcoal Water Filter stick into a bottle or jug of tap water, leave it for at least an hour, and you've got fresher-tasting water with no plastic cartridge in sight. One stick lasts a total of around 6 months when you filter a litre each day. After 3 months, we recommend adding it to a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes to recharge the filter so you can keep using it for a for another 3.
How does it work? Activated charcoal is full of tiny pores, and impurities stick to its surface area, a process called adsorption (different from absorption). Our activated charcoal water filter will remove chlorine, heavy metals and other impurities form your water while leaving in the good things like magnesium and sodium. So it's perfect for tap water at home or on holiday!

Our Go For Zero Pure Round Konjac Sponge is plastic-free loofah alternative! It's made from the root of the konjac plant, and it's one of my all time favourite plastic-free and natural swaps. It's firm when dry and goes soft and squishy in water, with just enough texture to gently buff away dead skin on your face and body. Squeeze it out and hang it to dry between uses, and when it's done, it can go in the compost instead of landfill.
Our Go For Zero Australian Pink Clay Soap is one of our most-loved bars, and it’s easy to see why. It’s made with soft Australian pink clay, shea butter, hemp seed oil, avocado oil, oat extract and a touch of native Kakadu plum, all wrapped up in a fresh geranium and orange scent that’s lovely without being overpowering.
It’s vegan, made and owned in Australia, and suits dry, sensitive and normal skin. Best of all, it’s completely plastic-free, swapping out plastic bottled body wash for one little bar that packs flat into your toiletry bag. Keep it on wooden soap holder to drain or in a soap travel tin between uses and it’ll last you much longer.
Resparkle Dish Wash arrives as a powder, and you add the water yourself at home. Most liquid dish wash is largely water, so leaving it out means lighter, plastic-free packaging and far less wasted shipping. Australian made and family owned, Resparkle started out at a farmers’ market on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, and we’ve loved them ever since.
The Summer Essentials Box includes 2 sachets, which together make one full bottle of dish wash. Simply pour both into a reusable glass pump bottle, top it up with warm water, give it a gentle swirl and leave it for about 15 minutes to dissolve. That’s it, you’re ready to wash up.
The formula is made from coconut-derived cleansers with eucalyptus and tangerine essential oils, cuts through cooking grease, and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, biodegradable and septic safe, so it’s a great one for the camping kitchen too. And when you’re done, the sachets are home compostable. Just cut them into small pieces and pop them in your compost.
And a little treat. Eco Modern Essentials Sun-Kissed blend combines grapefruit, bergamot and lime, and it smells like long summer days. Pop a 6-8 drops in your diffuser or a banksia aroma pod to bring the freshness of summer into your home.

Every product in this box had to pass a few tests. It had to come from an Australian brand we trust. It had to cut down on plastic in a way that actually matters. And it had to be something we'd use ourselves, because the most sustainable product is the one you'll finish, not the one that sits in the cupboard.
We've never believed going low-waste means throwing everything out at once. It's about small swaps that fit into the life you already have, and summer is a brilliant time to start, because it's when so much single-use stuff sneaks in. This box is our way of making that first step a bit easier (and a lot more fun).
We think so! It makes a lovely gift for the friend who's always camping, the sister heading off on a beach trip, or as a Christmas present for someone who's been curious about natural swaps. Just leave a message in the notes at checkout and we'll include a handwritten card for your lucky recipient.
Whether you're treating yourself or someone you love, I hope this box makes your summer a little lighter on the planet and a lot more relaxed. It's a limited edition, so once these boxes are gone, they're gone. Grab your Limited Edition Summer Essentials Box here, and if you have any questions, we're always happy to help at askusanything@goforzero.com.au.
With Love,

No. Natural deodorants don't contain the aluminium salts that antiperspirants use to temporarily plug your pores. Instead, they target the bacteria that cause odour, so you'll still sweat but shouldn't smell.
